EasyWorship 2009 Build 1.9 is now Available.
You can download it from here the following website.
http://www.easyworship.com/support

The trial, full install and update file is one and the same in case you were wondering.

NEW Build 1.9 adds support for Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 32 bit.
See: http://www.easyworship.com/support/kb/i ... 36&catId=2 If you are having problems with PowerPoint 2010 files in EasyWorship 2009 build 1.9.

NOTE Build 1.9 will not support PowerPoint 64 bit edition.
(Having 64 bit Office provides no additional function except the ability to work with files larger than 2 Gigabytes.)
(64 bit Office is not installed by default when installing it. You have to manually install Office 64 bit.)

NOTE PowerPoint viewer 2010 will not be able to loop slideshows (for example announcement loops).
(This is a PowerPoint viewer 2010 bug and will be fixed when Microsoft fixes it. PowerPoint 2010 application is not affected by this.)
UPDATE : 06/27/2011 Microsoft releases a security update for PowerPoint viewer 2010. It will fix the looping issue.
Get it here. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

NOTE PowerPoint viewer 2010 does not deploy with build 1.9. You can download it from the following link.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... 4eeb832823

CHANGE Help File has been updated.
CHANGE foldback screen no longer uses font formatting from front of house screen.
CHANGE Display foldback Song Text Word formatting is set to "Automatically wrap words if needed" by default.
CHANGE When scheduling a YouTube video, the scroll bar on the live screen is disabled automatically.
CHANGE Windows Vista users will notice their screen go black for a split second when loading EasyWorship 2009 build 1.9. Build 1.9 turns off the Aero theme when loading to work around some of Microsoft's window management issues then turns it back on when you close it. This is not the case in Windows 7.

FIXED YouTube video playback.
(Some videos with advertisements at the beginning may not play properly)
*2-3 weeks after we spent a huge amount of time fixing it, YouTube changed the player again. For now you'll have to click on the projector screen somewhere to get it to play. Since we don't have any control over how they develop their player, I think the developers are going to hold off on trying to fix it again at least for now.
3/22/11 Update: Looks like YouTube changed something, cause it works now. :)
FIXED Windows 64 bit control window issues. (Some external apps can still cause problems)
FIXED PowerPoint animations not working on foldback.
FIXED PowerPoint slide tracking not working on foldback.
FIXED Go live to PowerPoint causes last song slide to be displayed.
FIXED Multiple different transition flicker/flashing issues.
FIXED Errors when converting database on 64bit windows.
FIXED Issues with Window Control Manager Win Vista/7.
FIXED Transitions other than blend paint slowing or hang in the middle of transition.
FIXED Transition in and out of logo and black issues.
FIXED Clicking black or logo when DVD is playing pauses the video but the screen doesn't go black or logo doesn't display.
FIXED Numerous PowerPoint issues.
FIXED Media store download crashes.
FIXED Foldback screen background changes to front of house background.
FIXED Song Background import issues.
FIXED Dotted line appears in song editor after a certain number of lines have been entered into the song.

I am not sure which version of 2009 we have. Is there a change log from 2009 1.X to 1.9 so that I can review all of the changes (in case I did not pick up some of the other releases)?

This might seem like a dumb question, so I apologise in advance

Our computers do not have PP 2010 on them. If a guest arrives wanting to use a PP 2010 presentation, can we use it, or do we need to have PP 2010 on our computer as well?

Thanks!

You just need to have PowerPoint viewer 2010 installed to play 2010 files.

If you are looking for a change log, this is as good as it's going to get. There was build 1.4 then there was build 1.9. No releases between the two. I could ask the developers for a change log, but that would just add delay to the release of the next major release. The change log usually only contains info that can only be understood by the developers.

You can find previous build info here.

Thank you so much for this release! It fixes at least all the problems I've encountered with EW. :)

I was just wondering does EW support PP2010 slideshow looping if I have Office 2010?

Looping works with PowerPoint 2010 application.
In EasyWorship
Click on the Live menu, Options, Advanced
Check both boxes under PowerPoint options.
Click OK.
You may need to close and reopen EasyWorship.
That will tell EW to load the Application instead of viewer.

Rodger,

Is there any reason to include the previous version of ASV and HCSB into the build 1.9?
After installing build 1.9 the 'Download New Bible Text' says Update Available for ASV and HCSB.

You just need to download the latest build to get caught up on update releases. The current updates and previous updates are included in this build.

Installed, run through a few previous schedules with no issues. From your comments it looks like a few issues we've had (none major) will be resolved. Looking forward to using it on Sunday.

Thanks for all the hard work :D

I upgraded our church desktop to 1.9 tonight. It's a Windows 7, 64-Bit system. Installation itself went smooth, but Windows 7 gave an error message when its finished installing and stated that it thought the program might not have installed properly and asked if I wanted to try again with different settings. I declined the changes and opened EasyWorship. It now reads version 1.9 and all of our backgrounds and media transferred over without a hitch! The problem with the song list shrinking itself into a tiny little box is fixed!! Awesome! Good job EW Guys!!!

Thanks!
~Dave
